Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) convened a meeting with representatives from Japan's MIRARTH Green Tech to discuss the company's growing cashew nut processing business in Cambodia. According to MISTI, during the meeting, MIRARTH provided a progress update, noting that its cashew processing capacity has expanded to 1,500 tonnes annually, a significant increase from just 3 tonnes when it began operations in 2021. The company also reported ongoing efforts to study the production of biomass fuel from cashew nut shells and trees, a project expected to take two years. They requested support from MISTI on compliance with standards and the analysis of nutrition facts in cashew products. MISTI's representatives commended MIRARTH for its achievements and reiterated the ministry's continued support in collaborating with the company to overcome challenges and explore production and business expansion opportunities.
