Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries in Cambodia has initiated discussions with Kansas State University (KSU) from the United States to enhance the capacity of Cambodia's agricultural human resources, focusing primarily on research and laboratory skills. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussions were led by H.E. Prak David, Secretary of State of the Ministry, and Dr. Richard Howard Linton, President of KSU, during a meeting held in Phnom Penh on February 7. The talks emphasized the importance of training Cambodian students and agricultural officials, particularly those at the subnational levels, in technical agricultural terms and English communication. These skills are deemed essential for effective research and laboratory work. Furthermore, H.E. Prak David provided Dr. Linton with an overview of Cambodia's Agricultural Development Linking to Investment and Trade 2025 (CAFE-2025). This key program aims to mobilize and address the needs of agricultural investors in Ca mbodia, thereby enhancing the export potential of the country's agricultural products such as rice, mangoes, cashews, cassavas, and rubber.
