The second day of IGEM 2024 saw the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) continue its forward momentum in advancing Malaysia's green transformation. Through strategic collaborations announced yesterday, MGTC highlighted its focus on green technologies and initiatives that aim to create lasting environmental and economic benefits for the country. MGTC and Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) have signed a memorandum of understanding witnessed by YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, to reduce carbon emissions at the organisational level. This venture will focus on scope three greenhouse gas assessments, a critical step in identifying and addressing indirect emissions throughout the company's value chain.
