KOTA KINABALU, Sabah FC head coach Datuk Ong Kim Swee hopes the presence of new import Joao Pedro Boiera Duarte would be the answer to his team's toothless forwardline. Kim Swee said their lack of sting upfront had held them back from achieving positive results in several Super League matches and, as such, he hopes that the Brazilian's presence will change their fortunes. He is also optimistic that Duarte will make an instant impact, especially after the departure of Ramon Machado last month. 'However, fans must understand that Joao Pedro (Duarte) is a different type of player compared to Ramon (Machado). So, it's not right to compare them,' he said in a statement tonight. The coach also stressed that they would make sure Duarte will be able to adapt to the team's style of play before they resume their Super League campaign against Terengganu FC at the Likas Stadium here on Sept 15.
