Key Events in Siem Reap Lined Up in September for Visitors

Siem Reap provincial authority, in collaboration with the private sector, plans to make this September an attractive month for national and international visitors.

The plan was revealed by Mr. Ngov Sengkak, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap province, following a preparatory meeting for World Tourism Day with the private sector in Siem Reap city on Aug. 4.

Siem Reap will organise three main events, including the Gumball 3000 Rally from Sept. 16 to 17, the Equinox Phenomenon at Angkor Wat from Sept. 21 to 23, and the World Tourism Day on Sept. 27, said Mr. Ngov Sengkak.

He was confident that the events would bring more tourists to the province and called on the tourism operators to offer special discounts on their services during the month.

Siem Reap has also launched a tourism development plan for 2025-2028 to upgrade tourism destinations, including the Phnom Kulen National Park, the Banteay Srey area, heritage areas under the management of the APSARA National Authority, Siem Reap urban areas, and Tonle Sap La
ke at the province, to attract visitors.
