Hyundai Wia on Friday reported its second-quarter net profit of 45.7 billion won (US$33 million), up 3201.7 percent from a year earlier.
Operating income for the April-June period was 69.2 billion won, up 6.2 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue fell 2.3 percent to 2.23 trillion won.
The earnings fell behind market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 62.5 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
