SEOUL, - Hyundai-Rotem Co. on Thursday reported its third-quarter net income of 40 billion won (US$29.5 million), up 22.3 percent from a year earlier.
Operating income for the July-September period was 41.1 billion won, up 29.2 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue rose 18.5 percent to 927 billion won.
The earnings fell short of market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 43.1 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
