Combined vehicle sales of Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp., South Korea's leading automakers, in Europe fell 2.8 percent in July from a year ago, industry data showed Thursday. According to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA), Hyundai and Kia sold a combined 93,864 units in Europe last month. ACEA data showed Hyundai Motor's sales dropped 0.6 percent to 47,224 units, while those of Kia dropped 5 percent to 46,640 units. The combined market share of Hyundai and Kia last month was tallied at 9.2 percent, down 0.3 percentage point from last year. The South Korean automakers sold 657,848 units combined in Europe during the January-July period, down 2.1 percent from the same period last year.
