Hotel Shilla Co. on Friday reported its second-quarter net income of 27.4 billion won (US$19.8 million), down 62.1 percent from a year earlier. Operating income for the April-June period was 27.6 billion won, down 58.9 percent from a year ago, the company said in a regulatory filing. Revenue rose 15.7 percent to 1 trillion won. The operating profit was 18.7 percent lower than the average estimate, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
