AKP Phnom Penh, September 13, 2024 -- Gumball 3000 Rally will help promote Cambodia's tourism destinations to the world with its world-breaking record. Mr. Ngov Sengkak, Deputy Governor of Siem Reap province shared the insight in a preparatory meeting for the Gumball 3000 Rally in the province on Sept. 12. The sports sector is a main driving force to attract tourists to visit Cambodia, particularly to Siem Reap province, the country's famous historical heritage region, said the deputy governor. Taking place from Sept. 15 to 17, the event is expected to attract the participation of famous athletes from 40 countries. The event will feature the world's largest luxury car show, including supercars, hypercars, and sportscars to break the Guinness World Record in front of the Angkor Wat Temple and at the complex of Preah Reach Damnak Park. Kuch Panhasa, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism, said the Gumball 3000 Rally will help profile Cambodia's Siem Reap Angkor Archaeological Park and attract more visitors to the province.
