The Ministry of Environment has urged TotalEnergies for green investment through tree plantation at Phnom Kulen National Park to expand the greenness in order to attract more visitors to the region, thus improving the local people's living standard. The call was made by H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, during his recent meeting in Phnom Penh with Ms. Dinah Kumar, Country Chair and Managing Director of TotalEnergies. H.E. Eang Sophalleth underlined that the TotalEnergies's participation in growing trees is a responsibility for environmental protection to reduce the impact from fuel emissions on environment. The minister also encouraged the firm to consider the people's interest by enhancing education and promoting Cambodia's cleanness, greenness and sustainability to other green investment companies. From her end, Ms. Dinah Kumar expressed her delight to cooperate with Cambodia through the preparation of a plan in line with the local community development strategic plan as well as the Circul ar Strategy on Environment 2023-2028.
