More than 13,700 people joined in the Labuan-level celebration of National Sports Day (HSN) today, participating in over 30 sports programmes designed to promote fitness, unity and a sense of community. The event began early, with the first programme, aerobics, kicking off at the Labuan International Sports Complex (LISC) at 6am. Labuan Youth and Sports Department director Mahanum Fauzi said the day continued with a series of engaging activities, including the 30km Kayuhan Santai MADANI (relaxed cycling event), a 5km Run for the Nation and a 3km MADANI Happy Walk. 'These events drew participants from various walks of life, reflecting the diverse and inclusive spirit of the celebration,' she told Bernama. Other programmes included traditional games, a dodgeball competition, fitness challenges, and a walking football competition for women. There were also events like petanque, lawn bowls, camping, volleyball, and martial arts displays such as wushu and silat.
