Gombak police have disposed of various case items involving gambling equipment, contraband goods, liquor, cigarettes and bitcoin machines worth about RM1.31 million. Gombak District police chief ACP Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said they included 183,111 case items involving 896 investigation papers from 2020 until this year. The items were disposed of by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Gombak District Police Headquarters (IPD), with the disposal value estimated at RM1.2 million. He said the Gombak IPD's Commercial Crime Investigation Division, meanwhile, disposed of 100 case items involving 16 investigation papers from 205 until this year, with the disposal value estimated at RM110,000. "The overall disposal involved gambling case items comprising 2,650 computers, mobile phones, routers, gambling slips, printers, calculators, playing cards, tables and pens. As for the bitcoin items that were disposed of, they included 316 bitcoin mining machines, computers, laptops, routers and cables. "The co ntraband items, meanwhile, included 112,730 boxes of cigarettes, 54,180 cans and 9,940 bottles of liquor,' he told a media conference at the Gombak IPD-level case disposal event here today.
