The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended slightly higher on Friday, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market. The spot month July 2024 and August 2024 contracts added 1.0 point each to 1,640.0 and 1,643.0, respectively, while September 2024 edged up 0.5 of-a-point to 1,626.5 and December 2024 gained 2.5 points to 1,634.0.0 Turnover fell to 5,055 lots from 5,865 lots on Thursday, while open interest eased slightly to 50,832 contracts from 50,969 contracts yesterday. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 2.74 points, or 0.17 per cent, to 1,636.55 from Thursday's close of 1,633.81. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
