KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 (Bernama) – The world community should not view the issue of Palestine as seasonal and it should be given continuous attention untll it is resolved, said Global Peace Mission (GPM) Malaysia chief executive officer Ahmad Fahmi Mohd Samsudin.
He said the effort of education and providing better understanding to the international community on the real issue of Palestine must continuously be carried out so that it is consistent with dealing it like a universal issue.
“We do not want actions such as wearing Palestine mafela or boycotting (products linked to Israel) as a sign of solidarity for Palestine to take place only when attacks on Gaza occurred,” he told reporters at the Malam Mahabbah and Munajat Bersama Keluarga Palestine Di Malaysia ( Night of Love and Prayer with Palestinian Families in Malaysia) at International Islamic University Malaysia (UIA) here today.
The programme was attended by Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS) chairman, Tunku Zain Al-’Abidin Tuanku Muhriz and the Palestinian Ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali.
At the event, GPM also handed over contributions to 300 Palestian families present at the function.
