Deputy Prime Minister Urges Royal Government Working Groups to Intensify Local Public Service Efforts


Phnom penh: Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many has directed the Royal Government Working Groups to intensify their efforts to resolve local issues and improve public service delivery, stating their ultimate goal should be to “bring smiles to the people in the communities they serve.” The Deputy Prime Minister, who also serves as Minister of Civil Service, and Head of the above-mentioned working group issued the directive while presiding over the third-quarter review meeting for the group on Oct. 13.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, in his address, Hun Many highlighted the critical role of public forums in identifying and addressing grassroots concerns. He singled out the acceleration of land registration for community ownership and the systematic tagging of house numbers in urban areas as key priorities for enhancing citizen welfare and security.



The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the working groups in Kampong Speu. He urged continued close cooperation between the teams and provincial authorities to effectively implement the Royal Government’s public service mission.



Dr. Cheam Chan Sophorn, Governor of Kampong Speu province, attributed the province’s achievements to the concerted efforts of government officials and armed forces. He stated this collaboration has been vital in advancing the National Programme, key government policies, and the third phase of the Pentagon Strategy.



Governor Cheam Chan Sophorn further called on officials to strengthen their capacity, build public trust, and become a “source of hope” for the people of the province.
