KUALA LUMPUR, Police have arrested a man in connection with the suspected abuse of a six-year-old boy. Petaling Jaya District police chief ACP Shahrulnizam Ja'afar said the 36-year-old man, who is also a teacher, was arrested in Ampang, Selangor at 1.13 pm yesterday after they received a report from a 36-year-old man that his child had been beaten. "The incident occurred at a childcare centre in Kelana Jaya. Preliminary investigations found that the suspect had viciously kicked, hit and pulled the victim until the boy fell from a chair. "There were bite marks on the hands of the victim (who is also autistic). The man, who teaches at the childcare centre, has been arrested to assist in investigations,' he said in a statement today. He said the case is being probed under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
