The Cambodian national volleyball team won first place in the Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei SEA V League Challenge 2024 hosted in Phnom Penh on Sept. 2 and will join other winning countries for the next phase regional challenge in 2025. It was the completion among four ASEAN countries, namely Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Laos-in order of ranking that they have earned through the challenge against each other. Respectively, they all were awarded with the prizes from Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet of 100 million Riel (US$25,000), 30 million Riel(US$7,500), 20 million Riel (US$5,000), and 10 million Riel (US$2,500). The prizes were officially handed over to the volleyball teams by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha, who is also the President of the Volleyball Federation of Cambodia, and his spouse with the participation of senior representatives of the participating countries, among others.
