The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security has pledged to foster cooperation with the Cambodian Ministry of Interior, particularly to combat transnational crimes, including drug trafficking, human trafficking, and illegal gambling in border areas. The reaffirmation was highlighted by Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam H.E. Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, when received by Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Sar Sokha here in Phnom Penh on April 2. H.E. Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang was also committed to further strengthening cooperation with relevant units under the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia. H.E. Sar Sokha thanked the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for supporting technical training for Cambodian police forces. He recalled the warm hospitality shown by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam during the visit of a high-level Cambodian police delegation last week.
