Manila: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, engaged with delegations from three private Philippine companies during his two-day official visit to the Philippines. The meetings took place in Manila, where the Cambodian leader explored potential investment opportunities with representatives from these companies. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Ramon S. Ang, President and CEO of San Miguel Corporation, expressed interest in investing in Cambodia's major infrastructure projects, citing the country's advantageous location and skilled workforce as key factors. This strategic interest highlights Cambodia's potential as a regional and global connectivity hub. In another meeting, Mr. Dai Jianlaing, President of Excellent Associates Group Limited, showed enthusiasm for investing in Cambodia's industrial and agro-industrial sectors, particularly in rice processing and export. Cambodian rice, renowned for its quality, has consistently claimed the World's Best Rice title, making it a lucrative product for international markets such as Hong Kong and China. Dr. Raymond Patrick V. Guico, President and CEO of World Citi Group, also met with Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet. During their discussion, the Cambodian Prime Minister welcomed the memorandum of understanding signed between World Citi Group and the Asia-Europe University of Cambodia, which was initiated at the Philippines-Cambodia Business Forum. The focus of World Citi Group's interest lies in health education and vocational training sectors in Cambodia. Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet outlined Cambodia's key strategic sectors for investment, including agriculture, agro-industry, and health. He emphasized the Royal Government's commitment to creating a conducive environment that supports and facilitates investment endeavors in Cambodia. The official visit to Manila was led by Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, accompanied by First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony, following an invitation from H.E. Ferdinand R. Marco s Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines.
