Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia, has sent separate condolence messages to her Lao, Philippine and Thai counterparts regarding the tragedy and devastation caused by typhoon Yagi. 'It is with deep sorrow that we learned of the tragedy caused by typhoon Yagi, which triggered severe rains, floods, and landslides, leading to devastation, loss of life, destruction of homes and infrastructure, and the displacement of families,' she wrote in her messages dated Sept. 17. On behalf of the Cambodian NA, Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed her deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathies to her counterparts, and through them, to the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones and to all those affected by this natural disaster. Samdech Khuon Sudary also reaffirmed Cambodia's solidarity with the three countries and their people during this difficult time.
