Cambodia: Cambodia's Malys Angkor (Phka Romdoul) has been awarded the World's Best Rice 2024 Award at the World Rice Conference held in Manila, the Philippines, as announced by the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) in a press release issued on Thursday. This accolade marks the sixth time Cambodia's rice has received this recognition since it began participating in the prestigious event. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the CRF expressed gratitude to the nation's farmers and rice millers for their dedication in cultivating and milling the award-winning rice. The press release highlighted Malys Angkor (Phka Romdoul) as a trusted name in Cambodian premium aromatic rice. The World Rice Conference was organized by the International Commodity Institute and The Rice Trader of the United States of America. Figures from the CRF reveal that Cambodia exported approximately 507,029 tonnes of milled rice to various international markets in the first ten months of this year, generating around US$376 million in revenue.
