Cambodia will be hosting the 10th ASEAN Plus Three Junior Science Odyssey (APT JSO-10) in Siem Reap province next week, from July 22 to 26, according to the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI). A total of 225 junior high school students from the 10 ASEAN member states, alongside China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea will engage in scientific discovery and innovation under the theme "Racing Up Against Climate Change," which aims to foster urgent environmental solutions through innovation and networking among young talents in the ASEAN Plus Three region, the source pointed out. This year's event is organised by the MISTI in partnership with the ASEAN+3 Centre for the Gifted in Science (ACGS). Established in 2012 by the ACGS, the APT JSO aims to encourage talented secondary school students in the ASEAN Plus Three countries to stimulate their intellectual curiosity and motivate them to pursue careers in the field of science and technology. The event also provides students the opportunity to connect with other like-minded individuals, and form friendships and networks in the ASEAN Plus Three region. Source: Agence Kampuchea Presse
