Regarding the relations between the two countries, Samdech Techo Hun Sen asked for understanding from the Korean side that Cambodia needs to implement the UN Security Council Resolutions on sanctions against the DPRK as Cambodia is a member of the UN.

Regarding the DPRK-ASEAN relations, the Cambodian Acting Head of State recommended that North Korea should use the ASEAN platform to maintain relations with the ASEAN countries and link herself with the bloc.
