Cambodia and Malaysia have agreed to continue to strengthen their cooperation on information exchange through their news agencies. The agreement was made between H.E. Neth Pheaktra, Cambodian Minister of Information, and H.E. Shaharuddin bin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia, during their meeting at the ministry in Phnom Penh this afternoon. The two sides laid stress on the importance of exchanging information through the news agencies of both countries to increase mutual understanding. H.E. Minister and H.E. Ambassador of Malaysia shared their views on the fight against fake news, which are circulated widely on Facebook and TikTok and cause confusion among the public. H.E. Neth Pheaktra underlined the need for cooperation from other countries, strengthening of measures, and collaboration in changing the people's attitudes in order to combat fake news.
