Cambodia and Luxembourg are highly optimistic about the strengthening and expansion of their bilateral relations and cooperation in the areas of tourism, finance and banking, digital technology and mine clearance. The optimism was emphasised in a courtesy meeting in Vientiane, Lao PDR this morning between Cambodia's Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and H.E. Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Luxembourg, on the sidelines of the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and Related Summits. On the occasion, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet appreciated Cambodia-Luxembourg diplomatic relations so far, and suggested fostering the bilateral relations and cooperation through the establishment of consultation mechanism between both countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs to review and identify potential sectors of cooperation. For his side, H.E. Xavier Bettel informed the Cambodian Premier about Luxembourg's aim to select some countries including Cambodia as partner countries to promote cooperation in some main areas such as health and education, to name a few.
