The Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have vowed to further strengthen and expand the relations and cooperation between the two bodies. The commitment was highlighted in a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha and Head of Mission of the ICRC in Cambodia Mrs. Dena Fisher here in Phnom Penh on Feb. 5. H.E. Aphi Santepundit Sar Sokha expressed his deep gratitude to the ICRC for assisting Cambodia with a range of humanitarian activities since 1993, including assistance for prisons and rehabilitation centres. Ms. Dena Fisher thanked H.E. Sar Sokha for the good cooperation, stressing that the assistance and support that the ICRC has provided to the Ministry of Interior for the past 30 years also aim to further improve the condition of the prisons and rehabilitation centres.
