KUALA LUMPUR, The BTV Sister Squad emerged as champions of the Netball Tournament organised by the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Staff Club and the Bernama Netball Club today. The win earned the team a cash prize of RM400, along with medals and certificates. The Queen Bees and Pink Dreamers secured second and third place, respectively. Held at the National Sports Council Complex in Setiawangsa, the tournament featured six teams with 60 participants from various departments within Bernama. Bernama chief executive officer Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin said that aside from highlighting the spirit of sportsmanship, the event served as an excellent platform for fostering a sense of camaraderie among the staff while promoting a healthy lifestyle through sports. 'The (Bernama) Netball Club is relatively new, having been launched mid-year. Since then, its members have been actively competing in external tournaments,' she said during the event. Nur-ul Afida also said that today's winning team will go on to represent Bernama at the upcoming HAWANA Games 2024, slated next month. Source: BERNAMA News Agency
