Berjaya Hospitality Group (group) general manager Pravir Mishra said the initiative is part of a broader strategy to boost tourism to the resort, aligning with the company’s vision to attract more travellers by offering a seamless travel experience.

The ‘Fly Me Away: Rainforest Escape’ package includes three days two nights accommodation with return flight.

‘The ‘Fly Me Away’ package offers accommodation at the resort with the private chartered flight operated by Berjaya Air Sdn Bhd, allowing travellers to reach Langkawi within one hour.

‘With the hassle-free journey, travellers will enjoy unparalleled comfort and convenience, allowing them to fully immerse in the beauty of Langkawi from the moment they embark on their journey,’ he told reporters after the launch of Berja
ya Air’s inaugural flight to Langkawi yesterday.

The inaugural flight departed from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport’s Subang SkyPark Terminal at 4:05 pm and landed at Langkawi International Airport at 5:05 pm. The ATR 72-500 aircraft has a maximum capacity of 68 seats and successfully carried 45 guests for the maiden flight.

Pravir said the flight is already witnessing strong demand with the load factor expected to rise from 50 per cent initially to between 80 and 100 per cent by November. ‘We have received a lot of enquiries for future booking. So we expect from November onward, we will achieve a load factor target of between 80 and 100 per cent,’ he added.

Commenting on the country’s preparation for ASEAN chairmanship next year, Pravir said the group is working closely with government agencies such as the Langkawi Development Authority to create attractive packages for delegates, which will further bolster tourism and position Langkawi as a key destination for both leisure and business travellers.
