Professional men's doubles pair, Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani would have a chance to clinch their third title this year as they cruised to the Arctic Open 2024 final in Vantaa, Finland, today. The fifth seed and China Open 2024 champion pulled off a stunning upset against top seeds of China, Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang as they came from behind to book a spot in the final at Energia Areena, 19-21, 21-17, 21-18 in 62 minutes. The world number eight pair will lock horns with either second seeds Kim Astrup-Anders Skaarup Rasmussen of Denmark or Thailand's Kittinipong Kedren-Dechapol Puavaranukroh, who are set to play in the other semi-finals tie later today. Former world junior champions, Nelson Heg-Teo Ee Yi were the only Malaysians to have lifted the men's doubles title of the Super 500 event in 2013 edition. Meanwhile, professional mixed doubles pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai Jemie's bid to the final were cut short by Jiang Zhen Bang-Wei Ya Xin, after the Chinese duo claimed a comfortable 14-21, 8-21 vic tory.
