Angkor Enterprise has announced the rollout of improved requirements and procedures for selling and checking entry tickets to ease foreign visitors to Angkor Archaeological Park. The state-run enterprise in charge of managing and collecting revenue from selling Angkor Archaeological Park tickets circulated the public notification on Sept. 11., highlighting that it was the first phase of its reform series to better serve foreign tourists visiting ancient and cultural complexes in Siem Reap. The improvement includes no more requirements for passport photos and personal information such as nationality, age, and sex for visitors to the Angkor Archaeological Park for one day. For the visitors to tour the park for three and seven days, only a passport photo is required for security assurance from now until Dec. 31, 2024. The checking of entry tickets among the visitors will no longer be conducted at the gates to the park but at entrances to temples. The improvement will be effective from Oct. 9, 2024, while t he second phase of the service improvement will be introduced in early 2025. Source: Agence Kampuchea Presse
