KUALA LUMPUR, Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad (Allianz General) has joined hands with Fox Traffic Sdn Bhd to launch the Fixing Potholes initiative, a concerted effort to enhance road safety and address concerns over potholes in the country. Through this initiative, which falls under Allianz General's corporate social responsibility arm, Allianz4Good, they aim to repair 100 potholes to mitigate road accidents and vehicle damages caused by potholes within the Subang Jaya City Council and Petaling Jaya City Council areas. Head of Allianz4Good Ng Siew Gek emphasised the project's goal of enhancing road safety for the community. 'Potholes can cause vehicle damage and can lead to severe injuries or fatalities. At night or in adverse weather conditions, there is poor road visibility which can pose greater hazards. Public safety is a shared social responsibility and we saw this partnership as beneficial to road users,' she said in a statement. Meanwhile, Fox Traffic director Howie Gan express ed gratitude to Allianz General for the support. 'Allianz General's commitment to community well-being and dedication to making a difference ensures safer roads which enhances the overall quality of life for road users,' said Gan.
