The Asian Development of Bank (ADB) has appreciated Cambodia's technical training programme for 1.5 million young Cambodians from poor and vulnerable families. The remark was made by Ms. Rachel Thompson, ADB Executive Director on the Board during her meeting here on Feb. 6 with H.E. Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training. In the meeting, Ms. Rachel Thompson applauded the technical training programme for the youth as a key opportunity for Cambodia to develop the country and attract more foreign investors looking into investment opportunities in the Southeast Asian region. ADB continues its support to the ministry's priority plans in order to contribute to further promoting Cambodia's labour and vocational training, and social security sectors, she said. For his part, H.E. Heng Sour expressed thanks to Ms. Rachel Thompson for her compliment of Cambodia's strategic plan to equip young Cambodians from poor and vulnerable households with technical skills. H.E. Minister also spoke highly of the ADB's assistance to Cambodia in all sectors, especially to the ministry in Labour and Vocational Training by far. Source: Agence Kampuchea Presse
