The Seri Angkasa Awards (ASA) 2024 has received a total of 1,860 nominations in three categories, an increase of 17 per cent from the 1,585 nominations received in the 2022 edition. The ASA 2024 Promotion and Publicity Committee, in a statement today, said of the total, 1,287 nominations were submitted for the television category, 515 for radio and 58 for new media. It said that 60 awards will be contested across the three categories, with the top five nominees in each award category shortlisted based on evaluations by appointed professional judges. Organised by the Communications Ministry, the ASA serves as a platform to recognise the contributions of creative industry players in broadcasting, promote creative works to the public and strengthen the country's creative community, further boosting the potential of the orange economy.
