KUALA LUMPUR, Twelve entrepreneurs under the guidance of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) took part in the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) 2024 held in Nanning, China, from Sept 24 to 28.

In a statement today, PKNS said that RM250,000 was allocated for participation in the trade expo, which is expected to generate business opportunities worth up to RM10 million for the entrepreneurs involved.

Among the companies showcased in the PKNS pavilion at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Centre (NICEC) were Nimss Adeleciouz Sdn Bhd, Sparkles Group Sdn Bhd, BS Fitness Nutrition Sdn Bhd, Dunita International Sdn Bhd, My Innovative Wellness Sdn Bhd and Pisango Sdn Bhd.

‘PKNS’s inaugural participation in CAEXPO is a strategic move to support the entrepreneurs under its guidance.

‘This initiative aims to showcase their products and businesses while exploring potential international markets, particularly in China and the ASEAN region,’ said PKNS.

The statement highlighted that CAEXPO serve
s as an effective platform for matching businesses across different sectors, companies, and trade associations in ASEAN countries.

The expo facilitates bilateral trade and investment transactions, thereby enhancing regional economic cooperation.

The Malaysian pavilion at the 21st edition of CAEXPO was officiated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

According to PKNS, although its core business is property development, the corporation remains committed to supporting state government initiatives in community development, particularly in Selangor.

“This is evidenced by PKNS’ consistent implementation of various entrepreneurial development programmes over the past 29 years, which strengthen the entrepreneurship sector and ensure the sustainability of local economic growth,’ according to the statement.
