After testing negative twice, Dr Wai Wai Mon says Case 245 will need to be quarantined for another fourteen days in a medical facility in the patient’s village-tract.

Case-231 was released on June 18 from Muse Public Hospital in northern Shan State, near the Chinese border. Like Case-245, the patient will be quarantined for 14 days in another part of the hospital.

All the COVID-19 cases in Shan State have finished their treatment and are in quarantine or fully recovered.

According to the Ministry of Health and Sports, there were 299 confirmed cases in Burma on July 1, while 6 have died and 222 have recovered.
